Firefox web browser won't appear on my new computer despite me downloading it. Why?

I bought a Dell computer and downloaded firefox on 3 occassions. On my old computer it immediately loaded the firefox page. On my new computer it won't, and I don't know why.

After downloading the setup file did you run it to install Firefox?

If it has been installed do you get any error messages, either during the installation or when you try to start Firefox?
