Why isn't Firefox coming up as my primary search engine?

Firefox has always been my primary search engine. However Google recently took control of my phone, my apps changing my search engine to Google and blocking my access to Firefox all apps, downloads and searches. Please help to retain Firefox

Hi

Firefox is not a search engine. Firefox is a web browser. Google is a search engine.

To add or change search engines in the Firefox for Android web browser see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manage-my-default-search-engines-firefox-android

Mozilla the makers of the Firefox web browsers does not have a search engine site of their own. A search engine is for example qwant.com, duckduckgo.com, google.com, etc. If Mozilla did have a search engine they would not call it as "Firefox" as that would be confusing with two separate things.
