how to prevent "Other tabs" from displaying when opening emails

When I open an email, "other tabs" always displays and I have to "Left Click" my mouse to Close Other tabs. How do I prevent this?

On startup Thunderbird by default automatically restores all opened tabs from the previous session. If you don't like this feature there are several options: • instead of opening messages with a double-click in new tabs use the a simple click to open them in the message pane • open them with a double-click in an existing message window (image) • if you still prefer tabs but no session restore, then each time R-click on any tab and select "Close Other Tabs" before exiting Thunderbird

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question. It is appreciated!
