I no longer see how to create a new Template in the email. What happened? And in order to see my prior template, I have to Open in a New Tab.

Chosen solution

Try right clicking on the tab bar and selecting Menu bar" from the menu that opens.

Them press F8 to turn on the message pane to view your email/templates without a new tab.
