Choosing "Share" does not bring up Thunderbird's Write screen.

In the past, the share option on web sites like the New York Times brought up Thunderbird in Write mode. Now it only brings up Thunderbird's folder contents view. I have not recently altered settings or adding extensions. Any ideas what might have changed?

I just tried a number of sites and thunderbird opens the compose screen, as desired.
