Cannot reveive nor send email

For the past two days (Aug 20,2024) I have received NO emails and CANNOT send. I get the message, "because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out." I have tried reloading Thunderbird with no results. The email zfhanna@gmail is also on my phone. My Tbird is on an IMac and Windows 10 laptop. Neither works. For Wifi I use a satellite provider.

SMTP errors only relate to sending mail.

AS others can use gmail I would tink it is something local to your installation, like an antivirus program.
