LOST BOOKMARKS

Hello! I have lost both my Firefox custom opening page, and all my accumulated Bookmarks, after an apparent Firefox Upgrade. I have ttried everything to recover my old Bookmarks, but cannot find them using the Bookmarks Menu. I have tried to locate these files using my Windows File Manager, but thery are nowhere to be found within my Firefox Folder in my main Hard Drive (C:\).

If these files are hidden, I/m not aware of that and I have selected to show all hidden folders or files. These old Bookmarks must be SOMEWHERE within my Firefox Folder, but WHAT must I look for? My problem does NOT seem to be covered within the Help files.

Sometimes when the browser thinks there is a problem with the profile, it will create a new one.


Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there? Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.
