My address book works perfectly in Thunderbird 78, however, there are no abook.mab, history.mab, abook.sqlite and history.sqlite files on my hard drive. How is this possible? How am I too back up my address books? When I do an export to .csv and open it in Excel it does show all of my contacts. Very confused as to what is going on here.

Your addressbooks should be in your profile folder. Go Help>Troubleshooting Info>Scroll down to about:profiles, then [open folder]. What OS are you ? If Windows you can do Windows key + R then type %appdata%/thunderbird/profiles. This may be a hidden system folder which is maybe why you can't search for those sqllite files. Personally, exporting to spreadsheet would seem a good way of backing up your addressbooks and quite portable between other mail progs.
