Factory restores are pretty serious. And its always a good idea to have backups of your personal files. But you are not alone with not having taking this strategy before wiping out your disk.

Microsoft has taken the extra step of protecting us from losing our personal files with their Windows10. By creating an account on Microsofts cloud, files can be backed up (and stored) on their cloud.

Similarly, there is a "sign in" feature in FireFox browsers whereas personal data can be stored on the cloud (or mozilla server).

This feature also lets you syncronize the FF data to other devices that use FF browsers too.

The only thing i can think of that records your browsing history is your ISP. And from the history, you could aggregate the sites URL's.

Perhaps, there is an old trick that you can use which is to use a "Undelete" application. These types of apps can scan the hard drive for files that have been so-called deleted. So it may find a ghost of your book marks file. But I am not sure if this is worthwhile. Also some undeleting apps are better than others.

You can check if you have a "C:\Windows.old" folder with your previous personal data.
