TB 78.7.1 NEW LOOK I H8 it
Recent Updated TB 78.7.1. The entire new look, is craptaular. Why is it, we do not get a PROMPT that you (Mozilla) are screwing up the interface? I am unable to revert to the previous version, and I am not on any stupid email,spam, RSS feeds that tell me useless stuff. I read through the 'whats new' and I understand the english words, but the rest is gobbledygook as I am not a programmer or developer. FYI I have Autism, and sudden changes to layouts, upset me alot. If you are offended by my complaining here, please let me know how to contact you, and I will, and you can observe my rage! Classic example of companies not giving two **** about people with mental/medical issues. Only what Mozzila or MS thinks is good enough

Do you know what version you used before the update, then I'll understand what you were used to seeing? Was it version 68.12.1 ?
Perhaps I can help you fix some of the problems you are experiencing to make it less stressful for you, but I need to know what it is you do not like. Is the big problem the Folder Pane? Do you want to see all the old folder icons and not the new outline folder icons? If yes, then it is possible to add some code to fix it. Do not worry, I'm not asking you to write code. I would supply it so you just had to copy paste it. You would need to tell me if this is something you want to do.
Or would be ok if you could just add some colour to the outlined folder icons ?
You could try the following to see if it helps and let me know if you can work with this or not.
- Right click on a folder and choose 'Properties'
- You will see 'Icon Colour' and a rectangular coloured box.
- Click on that rectangular coloured box to open a 'colour' window.
- Select the colour you want and click on 'OK'
- Then click on 'OK' to close Properties.
I can also offer you some information on how to set up some code so it auto sets specific colour to a set of icons eg: all the 'Spam/Junk' folders in all accounts get an orange colour. You would need to tell me if this is something you want to do.
Are you having a problem with the new 'Write' window ? There is about to be another update on that 'Write' window, but not a huge change, it will just offer a few more options. There is also a good Help Article on addressing, which will obviously have to get updated to show the additional stuff when it comes available. Would you like to just go back to version 68.12.1 ?
Normally, we do not recommend this because newer versions also have more security fixes. Those fixes are not visible, but they are important.
It is possible to go back, but you would need to do it in a specifc way to force a downgrade to be allowed and get your address books back. I can advise you on how to do it.
If you do want o go back to earlier version, I would also suggest you make a policy change on computer to stop any annoying pop ups that keep asking you to upgrade. I can help you with that as well.
