I want to add another email address to download POP mail. Invoked "setup new email" and it seems to be the wrong function, and I cannot get rid of the popup box. Rather not have to quit the app. using Thunderbird v 60.9.0

I suggest you do "quit the app" No one is going to able to wave a magic want over your computer from thousands of miles away.
