gmails open in window at the bottom of the page

Gmail problem: click on the individual email, instead of it appearing below the email, it pops up at the bottom of the page, where I can only read it by scrolling.

Hi ceci718, it is possible your "split" setting changed? The button/menu to try different split settings looks like this:

Does your Gmail have that? Can you find one that restores how it worked before?

Yes, I did what you suggested in Gmail on Chrome, then it opened correctly in Firefox. Thank you.
