No matter what I do, when I try to connect to an Internet ".com" address in the US, it winds up being switched! How do I stop this from happening?

Chosen solution

WestEnd thinks you have to contact your Internet Service Provider when the site is just defaulting on language based on you IP location.

As I said many sites can have a feature to change your region / language on site.

What Region are you from? What url do you type and what does it change to? There's not enough information to know what is happening.

I am an American citizen living in Europe. My efforts to connect to a .com Internet address are always changed to .de and that means that everything on the page is in the German language, which is not what I want. For example, I have tried four times to get a User Manual in English from Creative Labs for an Audio card that I just inherited, but so far without success. I'm beginning to suspect that a contributor to the problem is the Kaspersky Internet Security system that is installed on my PC.

Then that is related to the ISP making those changes. Did you contact them about it? When your go outside of the EU country your at the ISP is what determines the language or possibly site change but you should contact the ISP on this.

Are you referring to the creative.com site?

They have a option to change the Country/Region either on top or bottom depending on the page you are on.

I have made two calls to my ISP and they have made some changes to my Desktop that might help. I'll need some time to try it out and see if there has been any improvement.
