Thunderbird no longer show my email files, how do I repair

When I start Thunderbird, it connects to aol as always, but none of my past eamils or any new emails appear. Also all of my sent emails no longer appear either. I'm lost as to how to repair and get my emails and saved sent messages back. Please help, many of these are very important and I can't replace them.

Assuming you use IMAP: try subscribing to see folders. right click on mail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Subscribe' Select/highlight all folders and click on 'Subscribe' click on OK.

Check this is selected: Menu icon > Folders > All
