Last two weeks I seem to be getting far more Junk/Spam mail. It's going to the correct Folder but why the increase?

Yahoo is an email provider. Thunderbird is email client software.

Whether you check your mail at the providers webmail site or using a client like Thunderbird you see the same mail. All mail comes to you via your email account with your provider.

FYI: You do not migrate to Thunderbird. It is just software you started using to check your email. Your email account is still with a provider.

Thunderbird uses the term Junk for messages it thinks are garbage. Yahoo uses the term Spam. Thunderbird does not tag messages as Spam or place them in Spam folders. Someone else is doing that. Probably Yahoo.

Thunderbird is email client software running your computer. It downloads or displays messages that are in your inbox on your provider's server. It cannot control what type or how many messages arrive there anymore than anyone here can explain why you get emails.

When I was using BTYahoo mail I got a lot of SPAM, since migrating to T.Bird this had decreased, but it's now increasing - I think Perhaps I'm just wrong as "Airmail" has suggested.
