I use Firefox daily, leaving it open for hours on end. Eventually it starts to be slow and I restart it. Not great, but whatever. Here's the thing: when I go to this page - http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/whatsnew/releases2017.htm - Firefox immediately sucks up all the RAM and most of the CPU and my computer freezes. I can visit other pages on that site with no problems, but that one page kills my computer. I visited tonight, with Task Manager open. Before visiting, CPU Usage was 19% and Physical Memory was 24%. Firefox process was at 828MB. On loading this page, CPU Usage shot up to (and froze at) 82% and Physical Memory was 98%. Firefox process zoomed up to 2.3GB. All within seconds of loading the page. I emailed the page admin a couple weeks ago, when this first occurred, but have heard nothing from them, and obviously it's not fixed. The page itself works totally fine in Google Chrome, so it makes me wonder if it's something in Firefox. Please, go check it out. If you don't have the same results, I will try it in safe mode. Currently using Firefox 56.0.2 on Windows 7 (up-to-date). I think the problems may have started with version 56, because I have visited that page weekly since January with no problems until a couple weeks ago. Thanks!

Ya Fellow Canuck it does use 5megs per core. ++++ It has a bad script on the page which turned up a popup.

Might want to report Web page to the Webmaster from another page bottom. It locked up my Firefox big time with 13 tabs open.

Nothing that can be done from this end I believe.

Note : Current Version of Firefox is 56.0.2 https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ Note : Firefox 57 Quantum Release Date Nov 14th https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/quantum/ Note all Legacy Extensions will be disabled or removed.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
