spam button
tb marks lots of things as spam but there not always a button to tell it that its not spam thanks
Chosen solution
thanks for that. they are going into spam folder and TB doesn't always show the "not spam" button. if i move them as u said into the inbox they ok next time. there are no filters in place.
the server is outlook .com and they dont allow u to completely turn off filtering, anyway i haven't found any in the outlook spam folder
do u think its outlook doing the filtering and putting them in the TB spam folder? and do u know why TB doesn't always show the "not spam" button.? thanks

If you're actually seeing the word "spam" or your messages are moving into a folder named "spam" then I would suggest that something else is doing this; usually your mail provider or maybe your own anti-spam software.
Thunderbird itself classifies suspect email messages as "Junk" and generally attaches a flame icon to messages it thinks are untrustworthy.
You'll need to investigate how the spam detection works. In some cases, it is sufficient to move the message back to the Inbox in order to indicate that you consider it not to be spam. In other cases, there may be an option to whitelist trusted senders.

The button on the yellow banner has stopped working.

Sorry. The yellow banner says "Thunderbird thinks this is junk mail.” See image. On the right the buttons do not work.

First decide if you are talking about Spam or Junk. Thunderbird marks and unmarks Junk. You can use Junk Controls to setup a Junk folder or just leave them in the Inbox with the Junk marker attached.
It does not mark messages as Spam. It does not use a Spam folder. It does not have a Not Spam button.
well i actually saw the button. and now i dont
u know its got to be about 4 -6 months since anyone posted on this thread and to be honest i cant embower the details now so im going to abandon this query and re post if i cant sort it

i cant work this forum either, its all over the place its not like others . why cant they conform, its really not cool to make it different unless its actually better
Was it "spam" or maybe "scam"?
Again, Thunderbird has no Spam or Not Spam buttons. If you ever had any they were provided by an add-on.
The internal tools for bad messages use the term "Junk" and, occasionally, "Scam".
This is all for the English language version. I don't know if the distinction between Junk and Spam is maintained when Thunderbird is translated into other languages.

But that is explicitly a "Not Junk" button. It doesn't mention "Spam".
