Does my laptop's Core i7 processor support Firefox 50.0?

After I downloaded 50.0, I tried to use and got only a blank white window. I reinstalled Firefox 49. and Firefox worked correctly. I'm guessing that my laptop processor (Dell Inspiron 17R - N7110, Intel Core i7 processor) doesn't support 50.0; am I correct? Lloyd

Firefox 50.0 itself should work fine on that Core i7 computer.

But, WinXP on a Core i7 computer?

Or are you running Firefox in WinXP Compatibility Mode as set in Windows?

Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut, and then select Properties. Inspect the Compatibility tab to see if "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" is selected.
