browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete is gone as of Firefox 48.0. Currently there is no pref to replace it, but something along that line may be coming in Firefox 50, I recall reading this past week.

For now this UserStyle blocks Visit ... Search from appearing at the top of the drop-down. https://userstyles.org/styles/122394/url-bar-tweaks-remove-visit-search-scroll-bar
