THunderbird has blocked one of my email accounts. What can I do?

Obviously I had tried to lock in to my email account with a wrong password and then it was blockend. Now I can see my emails from hotmail, when I lock in to hotmail. And Thunderbird doesn't accept a password, even though I have changed it meanwhile,

It says: "Error with sending the password for the user brigitte-lu@hotmail.de. The Mail-Server pop3.live.com responded Authentication failure: unknown user name or bad password."
