Firefox seems to start up but no window shows. If I enter Full Screen mode, the window then shows and I can exit and it seems to work fine.

Firefox automatically updated to 43 on my Mac and that's when this problem started. My add-ons were automatically disabled. But the main problem is that now when I start Firefox it doesn't show any window at all, just the the menu bar at the top of the screen. It I go to view and select Enter Full screen, then the window appears in full screen mode. I can exit this and Firefox then works as normal. But it's a pain to have to do this every time I start Firefox, how can I get Firefox to open a window on start up?
