Since last update Firefox launches when PC is started.

Since about a year I have a PC running Windows 8.1. At first when I installet Firefox on it, the browser started automatically when the PC was started. Then that ended and Firefox no longer started automatically. The other day I accepted an update and since then Firefox again has got the annoying habit of autostarting when the PC is started.

Is there a fix for this. Some setting to be changed back to what it was before the update? I have checked Firefox's settings and Task manager, but not been able to find any solution.

Does anyone have any experience of this problem?

Hi, make sure Firefox isn't in the PC's Startup Folder - I'm not familiar with Win 8.1, but in Win 7 it would be in the Start Menu > All Programs.

You can also do a check with the Sysinternals Autoruns utility.
