Have you tried disabling HWA?

You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  • Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
  • In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
  • Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Thank you.

Hi. I started having the same issue couple days ago. I was using HTML5 player for a month now, but it started crashing, the videos plays and then just stops at some random point and also all players buttons stops working so to play it again I have to refresh the page.

So I switched back to Flash player version but still having same issue.

Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help.

On Chrome same videos plays just fine.

Yeah OK I fixed mine by clearing cookies on YouTube site, also refreshing it with CTRL+Shift+R and or CTRL+5 and also I disabled and removed YouTube Downloader addon and YouTube Refresh Button addon. After that I restarted it via Help -> Restart with Add-ons disabled and YouTube played fine, so I came back to normal Firefox again with add-ons enabled and it also played fine and YouTube is still playing fine so I say it fixed my problem.

Also I disabled Hardware acceleration both on Firefox settings and Flash settings.
