I have followed the instructions to txfer the profile to new PC W.11 - from W.10. T'bird says: "Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I have the old folder from 'roaming' pasted in correctly - did it twice. No change.

I also have all my message folder ready on the new PC. These are held in a better location for bak up. When I moved to the last machine - nine years ago - I had exactly the same problem!

As new install will not load the profile I cannot get into it to tell it anything.

Suggestions welcome. SCA

In 156, I can no longer click on an embedded image to save the file. It just enlarges the image. I know this has happened and been reported in the past. Are others seeing this same problem now in 156? Thanks!

I have Thunderbird 155.0 installed and also, TBSync + Google-4-TbSync to synchronise contacts between TB and Google.

However, I have just realised it hasn't been working for several months and TBSync is no longer compatible.

Are there other tools/techniques available to sync the contacts with Google?

As an 80 year old woman of sound mind and competent in most things I still struggle with AI & IT! Can anyone advise or help me restore my system with or without my original email? Do I have to change it, change my provider or start again with everything changed? Thank you for any help.

記載されている通り設定を実施したがメールの送受信ができず、改めてIMAPで同アカウントを設定 しなおそうとしたがサーバーに接続できず設定ができない状況

プロバイダ業者には連絡済みであり、サーバー情報やパスワード、設定等は間違っていない為、 Mozillathunderbird側へ確認して欲しいとの指示でした 設定をどう変更すれば進めることができるか。

また、既存のアカウントのパスワードを変更することはできるが、保存されている設定では接続 できない為、新たにパスワード等の設定を実施したいが、既存アカウントの画面ではそのような画面が 存在しない Outlook等ではサーバー情報の再設定やパスワードの再入力ができる画面が存在するが、thunderbird においても同様に操作することはできないか。

Hey Guys,

My Left click to open links from my emails has stopped working. I have to right click and select Open Link. I have tried everything, tried going through some of the config editor options i saw people mention for this issue and its all set to True already. There is no data besides PDF under the settings / attachments section. So cant change anything there. I tried a new profile, no go. I did a full uninstall and delete profile and started again, still same issue.

Left click to open links for everything else on my computer like firefox etc. Just cant open links through thunderbird. It used to work, it seems to have stopped around the same time as the latest update but i cant be sure about that. Only stopped working the last few days,

Dear T-bird Community Helpers,

This is my 1st use of any Mozilla mutual help community message board. I'm learning the ropes.

Re. the OS build: I never use beta anything. I established the folder, that went zero on me, recently (less than 2 weeks ago). I hadn't yet backed it up onto the cloud or a flash drive or other medium. Was just about to, but thought I'd rename the folder 1st, 9/13.

My mistake there, but not in the renaming. Never renamed a T-bird folder before. I had set up Thunderbird the week before 9/13, as a backup to e-mails in my Earthlink WebMail Premium account. 1st as a POP account, then later that week, after checking with a reputable AI interface, I made an IMAP.

Today I couldn't find any prior messages in this community board. That I, with my best focus, found relevant to my situation.

I try to learn what is involved, first, in decisions between products, accounts, and methods to follow. But I don't have all day. I don't short-shrift research, but I don't have all day. I relied on an AI bot when I had second thoughts on appropriateness of POP account, and it recommended IMAP account be added. Not substituted for the POP one, though---I asked it about that. too.

I work hard to learn computer terms but am not deeply skilled with computer stuff. I cannot generally read between the lines, to infer what sub-step to take to make the next listed step likelier to work. Nor can I understand very unnecessarily complex instructions, so please be feasibly simple in how you instruct me to find a way to restore my local folder. I don't know the exact name it had before. I use spelling tricks to keep folder names short, so there are MANY possibilities for the old name of that folder.

Your advice, please. I will be grateful for friendly, complete, instructions. Worded simply as is feasible. And questions 1st, sure, if you need to know more 1st.

I use Thunderbird, download on my PC computers (desktop and laptop) and on my iphone (using apple email set up - not Tbird app). I have noticed the folders are not synced on all three devices. Some are missing. Am I not doing something to sync them?

Emails coming into my email account with Telstra are not arriving, BUT I can send... Telstra support today says it is a Mozilla problem ? Please unlock or repaire???

I'm assiting an elderly user of Thunderbird. We were trying to update his saved password but the menu items did not match my current version 153.3.1esr. When I asked him to check his version he had options to update from v52. He went through 3 update cycles to v78 when all his data had disappeared. I found some information at: https://support.mozilla.org/mk/questions/1312391 which seemed to put the issue at a file format change in v78. When he looked at the profile folders the most recent was created in 2024. (I couldn't get him to find a modified date more recently.) When he closed Thunderbird and used the Run command "Thunderbird.exe -P" we couldn't find a way to select that most recent profile folder. Are you able to give me instructions I can use in a Windows remote (quick) assist session to restore his data from the profile folder?

Alternatively, is it possible to downgrade back to v68 of Thunderbird; would this restore his data (account settings, emails, contacts/address book etc?

Environment: Thunderbird 155.0 Windows 11 Pro, Surfshark VPN and Bitdefender Total Yahoo.ca POP3 account transaction@notice.aliexpress.com promotion@aliexpress.com

The Symptoms: Thunderbird stopped downloading emails from my yahoo.ca account with the message "Downloading message 1 of xx" where xx was increasing from one day to the next.

What I Have Tried: I disabled the antivirus and VPN without any result. I deleted the file global-messages-db.sqlite without any result. I entered the web interface in my yahoo.ca account and I saw that after the last message downloaded in Thunderbird there was a message from <transaction@notice.aliexpress.com>. I deleted the message from <transaction@notice.aliexpress.com>, restarted thunderbird and it started downloading messages until the next email from <transaction@notice.aliexpress.com>. I repeated the procedure several times with the same results: Thunderbird downloads any message except messages from <transaction@notice.aliexpress.com>. Other messages from aliexpress.com (e.g. promotion@aliexpress.com) were downloaded without any problems. The message download is blocked only when an email from <transaction@notice.aliexpress.com> is reached.

I searched for solutions on the internet but I didn't find anything.

I created a new email account but during the setup the account got added with incomplete login details.I am trying to delete this account so I can recreate the same, but it cannot be deleted. I tried running as administrator as suggested on google but this also did not succeed. Now I realize that the new account which I was trying to create has merged with my default account and corrupted this account as well. Now I am unable to delete both these accounts.

I am stuck badly as my default account is not allowing me to send emails. Please help me.

Yesterday, (26/09/21) Thunderbird stopped getting messages from two of my eight accounts. I have cleared the cashe, ran troubleshooting mode, reloaded the program yet it still does nothing when Get Messages is invoked. One is a Gmail account, (the other Gmail accounts are retrieving messages). The other is a Webmail (cPanel) source.

These are vital accounts.

When sending an Email to multiple addresses my Mail Server returns a message that the Email will not be sent and to try again later. After deleting all of the Email messages saved up to that point the Server still refuses after many tries to send the multiple addressed Email. I have explained all of this to the Web provider and have tested the multiple addressed Email using the Severs Webmail service. They finally advised me to check with your support service to see if the problem could be resolved. I have used Thunderbird for many years and I like the software. Can you help me as the problem is driving me mad. Thankyou, Michael Brinsden

Running Thunderbird 140.2.0esr (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04. Both Tbird and Firefox are frequently hanging with "not responding" message. Sometimes if I "wait" it responds again. But I often have to Force Quit. Sometimes all apps, the cursor, everything hangs completely. A couple of times, I've had to reboot to continue. This has happened far more often in the last few months than it did previously. It can happen after opening new mail or after opening mail saved in Local Folders. I run updates as often as I am notified that they are available. The only extension listed is Import Export Tools. I just disabled that, since I wasn't aware that it was running.
