The mozilla forum is full of topics about unresponsive shockwave/flash plugin. And the keynote of all answers is that those problems caused by adobe. But. I wanna tell you that the problem is in firefox. I uninstalled everything from adobe and in addition to that disabled all media options in firefox (media.webm webaudio and so on...) Then I installed vlc web plugin and script for youtube playback. And guess what? SAME problems!! now it's "unresponsive vlc web plugin". Hey, FF team, HELLO!!!

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

I told you that I had uninstalled all plugins. The version of FF is latest. What else should I check?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

the problem is the flash player, not firefox. To fix the problem:

1. to go to a website that have a flash video, such as youtube 2. right click on the video then select "global settings", this will open up the flash player setting manager 3. click on the advance tab 4. under "browsing data and settings", click "Delete All".

that is it , u will notice firefox wil run smoothly once again. if after some time firefox slow responding again, just do the same thing to fix it. goodluck!!!
