I’ve run into similar audio issues where the interface works normally in one browser but behaves differently in Firefox. Since Safari is working, I’d first check whether Firefox is actually using the same output device and sample-rate settings rather than assuming the interface itself is the problem.
One thing I’d try is opening Firefox’s Troubleshoot Mode to rule out extensions or custom settings, then checking the site permissions and Firefox audio settings. I’d also compare the interface’s sample rate in macOS Audio MIDI Setup with whatever the application is expecting. If the interface is set to 48 kHz but the application is requesting 44.1 kHz (or vice versa), that can sometimes produce strange playback behavior.
If it only happens with 24/48 and 24/44.1 works normally, that would be a useful clue. I’d also test the same page in a fresh Firefox profile, because that can quickly separate a Firefox configuration issue from a driver/interface issue.
If you can share the interface model and whether 24-bit/44.1 kHz works correctly in Firefox, it would make the problem much easier to narrow down.
