I recently lost all my data on my computer and after logging into my account, I couldn't retrieve my firefox data. I searched everywhere on my browser and couldn't find nothing to fix this.

I have a new computer and I want to sync my Firefox account but the Sign In button next to Sync and save data options are missing from the browsers in both devices.

How do I fix this issue?

Hi, I've been trying to access academic articles through my university library online database. My browser often directs the shibboleth authentication to the sign-in page of my previous university, not to my current ones. An example is provided below: the first link gets automatically changed to the send one. How can I stop the browser from doing this, so that I can log in through my current university account? I downloaded firefox desktop for my imac 27" none of the passwords I had on file would work so I changed the password and tried it. It appeared to work but after a while the incorrect password came up again. I continued to try using the code you sent via email several times and even though it appeared to. accept the password it still rejects your code. I have tried both caps and lower case characters but it still rejects the login

We have two computers in our house -- one connection. From my computer I sent something to my daughter, the second computer in our house. For some reason, my whole Facebook account transferred to her computer ad she is unable to use her own Facebook account. We have no idea how this happened. Can anyone help? Thank you . .

I am running macos 15.7.2.

Bought a faster external drive *named EXT3* and I copied my Firefox Profiles from EXT2 *previous External* to EXT3

I have added the location for the profile in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Firefox/profiles.ini

So far so good, but when EXT2 is NOT mounted the profile won't start, but only when EXT2 is MOUNTED then the profile will start.

Also connectivity is broken then, with that I mean I can't open any sites, not even a local one.

When I look in About:profiles I see that the profile in EXT3 is active and in use.

Any idea what is going on?

I get an error message when trying to login to the Social Security website with Firefox. Works with Chrome. The problem just started. Here is the error message.

I used to be able to ask a question on Firefox and get an answer. Now when I ask for information all I get is advertisements pertaining to the question I am asking.

Recently google's advanced search page changed from how it's been displayed for years -- seemingly only on firefox. And I hate the change. It still displays as always on DuckDuckGo and Safari. Firefox is my preferred browser, but I use goodle advanced search myriad times every day and this is changed version is such a PITA that it's approaching being a dealbreaker for me. Sure, I'd like to know wth happened and why, but really I just want google advanced search to return to my preferred display. (It does not just look different, it performs differently, in little ways that matter a lot to me over the multiple times I use it. Be glad to elucidate if it matters.) First attached image is what I'm now getting on ff. Second attached image is what I used to get on ff, and still get on DDG and Safari, and would like back on ff. Please help.

Hi, I'm running Firefox 145 on a MacBook Air, with MacOS 12.7.6 (Monterey). When I try to add a bookmark to an existing folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar, it will not show up. It does show up if I go to the hamburger menu, and then Bookmarks/Recent Bookmarks, but not from the Toolbar. This is true for any folder on the Toolbar. I do not have this problem with Firefox 145 on Linux Mint Cinnamon. Is this a bug or a feature? Please advise, and thanks.

I *always* use private pgs for shopping then when I find what I want I go to a regular page to make my purchases then delete the cookies immediately afterwards.

Apparently now we can't block location settings ?? or a Do Not Track?? I opened a new Private browser window for a website that apparently immediately asks for your location and lo and behold there I am(!!) Shocked to say the least especially since sometimes in the past even when I tried to use my location for whatever reason it wasn't showing up precisely but in an area over 100 sq miles. So what's up? For many reasons I won't go into here I really REALLY don't want my location to be available.

Good news 1: I'm trying to move away from Safari towards Firefox :-) Good news 2: there are loads of KB shortcuts in Firefox :-)

Bad news: after using Safari for > 15 years I'm confused and make a lot of mistakes in using shortcuts :-(

Suggestion: although there is a webpage explaining clearly all shortcuts, it would be handy to provide a downloadable PDF document with an (compact) overview of shortcuts. A 2-page document to be printed recto/verso would be extremely usefull to have at hand.
