Transferring Bookmarks Toolbar on Mac

I found how to backup and transfer my normal bookmarks, however I really need to backup and transfer my bookmark toolbar, specifically on the Mac version. I can only find the PC version instructions and they don't seem to translate between OS's.

I follow all of these and it didn't seem to work. Just restarted and the changes took effect.

What instructions for a PC are you referring to?

You can only export all the bookmarks to an HTML file and you will have to edit this file and only leave an empty Bookmarks Menu folder with the Bookmarks Toolbar folder and its content in it.
