A sync key derived from the original password of the Firefox Sync Account is used locally to encrypt your personal data before it is uploaded to the Sync server and only this original password or a possible recovery key can be used to decrypt your personal data stored on the Sync server. This sync key never leaves your computer and other connected devices (i.e. it is used locally and is never part of Sync). So if you do not remember this password then it is no longer possible to access the data on the Sync server and Mozilla can't help you to recover it. A password reset would wipe/clear the data on the Sync server and allow to reuse the account assuming you have access to the primary email address, otherwise you would have to create a new Firefox Account.

Keep in mind that Sync isn't designed to be used as a backup, but is merely meant to sync data between connected devices. Best is always to backup your personal data locally.

Are we talking synced accounts?

No, I haven't synced a second account. It was only the one I mentioned. I wasn't aware that Firefox will remove all the data if you'd forgot your password and create a new one with the same account.

Ok, then firefox account doesn't keep track of your data once you wipe it clean. Only backup that I now of if it was synced then other devices would restore the info but since this is standalone then all the data is gone on fresh install. If you wiped clean and reinstall any data created is gone and recovery isn't possible. Firefox doesn't remove any data the account is just a login account it has no data storage. Sync will copy the bookmark to other devices attached to the sync not sure about login/passwords. But as mentioned if you wipe clean reinstall the O/S all other software will not have any kinda of backup.

So we can conclude that the data is now gone and Firefox can't do anything about it. Google seems more reliable from now on. This was such a horrible mistake I made by creating this Firefox Account.

Anyway, I do appreciate you guys taking the time to clear things out for me.

Best Regards
