I made a donation for the gmail panel but each time I log in to gmail through Firefox it continues to ask for a one time donation. Can I stop this request?

I just loaded Firefox as my browser and added the gmail panel. I made a fair contribution through paypay but it still keeps asking me for a contribution when I bring up the gmail panel. Can this be stopped?

Thank you - Mike Wagoner

hi, gmail is a free service provided by google & neither google nor firefox will ask you for a donation accessing it - so that process certainly sounds fraudulent (or a bad april's fool joke).

since it might be caused by malware that's active on your system, please perform all those steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
