I got an email awhile back stating Firefox was going to offer a VPN service, with a 30 free trial offer. MY question is does the Firefox VPN offer a split tunneling option like other VPN services offer? From what I understand, split tunneling is a feature where the VPN service will be active, or connected in one browser but then it would be disabled or disconnected in another browser. Can you please explain if I got that correct? Thank you.

I wanted to get an couple new addons to my firefox browser. But whenever I try to get one i get the message 'Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt' whether I save the file and install it in windows, or trey to install at the firefox addons page. I have done multiple re-installs of the latest browser, cleaned every file out of the system, even joined this community in case I have to get some kind of membership to get addons.

I am out of ideas to solve the problem, and I cannot find anywhere on the internet where the 'Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt'. problem I have is solved. Please help.

Hi I have a problem playing videos available on skynews.com.au where the white rotating dots within the black circle just keep rotating and loading does not occur. I assume this to be a result of a setting problem because it does not occur on another browser on my desktop computer.

Any advice?

Hello Team , We are facing following issues with Firefox 98.0.2:

1. While users are accessing .SAP file earlier in Firefox 95 version , it auto - opens up directly in SAP GUI application , but in 98 Firefox Version whenever users are clicking on .SAP file ( user are accessing .SAP files from an intranet website ) it does not opens up directly in SAP GUI , its only downloading it . In order to auto-open the file , from download section in Firefox user need to right click on .sap file and select --> "Always Open Similar Files". (attached screenshot for your reference) . Please guide me how we can automate this step with Firefox silent installation .

2. I will also need help in automating , deleting Firefox taskbar shortcut during Firefox uninstallation and creating Firefox shortcut during firefox installation .

Hi guys,

I'm trying to generate API key to access addon APIs using the addons.mozilla.org -> tools->Manage Api Keys.

As web screen states before generating the key I need to confirm it via email, however no confirmation email was sent to "idagent_admin@kaseya.com". This might be relevant to the issue, the account email was changed from "jmalin@idagent.com" to "idagent_admin@kaseya.com" some time ago.

We've checked the following link trying to troubleshoot the issue on our end, but had no success. We haven't found the way how to resend the email via UI.

Could you please resend the confirmation email for API key to "idagent_admin@kaseya.com" once more?

Hi - I just moved files to a new computer using PCmover. It did successfully move Firefox over including bookmarks and themes. However, I am unable to use any of my themes even though I click on "Enable" (I did try a couple of different themes). I had Personas Plus previously installed on my old computer to use to change themes but, while it is there in the list of Extensions, I can't click to enable it. Any ideas? Because many websites ignore my choice of a dark theme (both in Windows and in Firefox) I tried using color management in my Firefox Settings to force white text on a black background. This had the desired effect on websites, but unfortunately also applies to plug-ins, some of which (like uMatrix) depend on changes of background color to convey information or have dark icons which become invisible on the dark background. Is there any way I can have my cake and eat it too?

I appreciate that there is a ton of functional tools working well and that there are an equal number of problems backlogged, and I appreciate all the good hard work and the genuine help that is done. Having said that,

WHY IN THE HELL HAS MY HISTORY BEEN HIJACKED? I am forced to use fOOGLE fHROME by UNINTELLIGENT FORCES but I use FIREFOX FOR A HANDFUL OF IMPORTANT THINGS. I need to revisit a VERY IMPORTANT WEBSITE LAST VISITED a few months ago, which should be easily spotted but when I OPENED MY HISTORY AND CAN ONLY SEE MOUNTAINS OF fOOGLE GARBAGE.

I read that you guys went corporate, but I didn't think you would sell out to fOOGLE. You used to be the best. Now you are subservient to the worst. It's a damn shame; no wonder everyone is losing trust in Foxzilla.

Now I'm forced to waste this time (a second time, as I was stupid enough to click on Share Data below which wiped out my previously more polite comment/question).

I use Firefox on both my Windows10 and Pop!_OS desktop (I dual boot). On my Windows install, every time I boot Windows, I have to toggle off "Recommended by Pocket" on the new tab page. It does not stay toggled off on its own when I next boot Windows. I always completely shut my computer down.

I've been corresponding with LastPass about this, but they now refer me to Firefox support.

I am using: Windows 11 Pro: Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 Firefox browser: 101.0.1 (64-bit) LastPass Add-on for Firefox: 4.97.0.2 Phone: Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Android 10.0 LastPass Authenticator app on phone installed: version 2.7.0

Hello,

Enabling LastPass authenticator/passwordless has worked for my Chrome and Edge browsers on my Windows 11 PC [LastPass Version: 4.97.0]. However, it does NOT work with Firefox, so I need further help.

When I close the Firefox browser [version 101.0.1 (64-bit)]and re-launch it, then click on the LP extension icon [version 4.97.0.2] I first get a LP pop-up requesting “Accept Permissions” (see attached screenshot).

When I click through that with Accept, I get a regular LP login prompt requesting both my email and master password.

After I enter my credentials, THEN I get a Multifactor Authentication pop-up on the PC and the Authenticator [version 2.6.0] app prompts on my phone [Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Android 10.0]. (see screenshot) When I use the phone to enter Accept and my Authenticator PIN, then the browser extension is logged on as I would expect.

If I leave Firefox open and log out of my LP account then click the browser LP icon to log back in, I get the Use Authenticator button. When I select it, the Authenticator app on the phone pops up and log in is smooth, as I would expect.

However, when I click on the LP icon on the Firefox browser, I get (another) notice that I can activate Passwordless (see screenshot). When I accept that, I have to provide my master password again. Even though I have turned on the Passwordless feature several times, If I close Firefox and re-open it, and then click on the LP icon, it does not invoke the Authenticator. Instead, I have to repeat everything. It seems like closing Firefox does something to delete the Authenticator option saved in LP/Firefox.

In both Chrome and Edge, I have settings to delete browser history when they are closed. This does not seem to affect the Authenticator behavior. However, I have set the same settings in Firefox to delete browser history on close, but the Authenticator behavior is not as expected.

What setting in LP or Firefox can be used to have the Authenticator setting survive the browser being closed? Also, how do I avoid having to go through the Permissions prompt every time I launch Firefox and try to open the LP extension?
