How do I stop the suggestions that come onto the screen on either side, they are vertical and alphabetized?

I get lists entering the screen on left or right side with suggestions. They are vertical, you can X them out but as soon as you click or move somewhere another list appears.

Do you get this at all web sites, some sites, one site?

It seems like all sites, certainly not just one site. It's title is "related searches"

You have yontoo toolbar installed which may be causing this problem. To remove 1) Try Uninstalling Yontoo from the Control Panel 2) Download ADWCleaner and run it http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/ 3) When its done it will auto reboot, SAVE ALL WORK. 4) Logon and see if you have the same problem.

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

NOTE

A Firefox reset successfully removed the Yontoo problems in the thread /questions/947405 (There may be other methods of removing it without removing all extensions). In that thread the user initially reported

Currently, neither "Yontoo", nor "Easy inline" appear as Firefox extensions or add-ons, and there are no folders or files by (or containing) those names anywhere on my hard drive.

P.S.
