Upgraded to 11, tab favicons now missing.
Since I've upgraded to FF11, my tab favicons are missing. I've disabled my add-ons and added them back one at a time to make sure it's none of them; I've started from scratch, with a fresh download; I've the CheckPlaces add-on; nothing seems to work. I see this is a problem with others, is it just a glitch with FF11?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Use CheckPlaces another time after having deleted the places files to see if it works this time.
Thank you for the suggestion, but it didn't work.
Do you get a favicon on the location bar if you open a website?
Does Firefox retrieve the favicon if you check that in Tools > Page Info > Media ?
Yes and yes. It's only on the tabs that the favicons are missing. All bookmarks are fine, including the toolbar bookmarks.
Disabling the Favicon Picker add-on worked for me. After restarting Firefox, favicons then appear in the tabs and the URL bar as they should.
I have upgraded to FF 14.0.1. The favicons on some of my tabs have been replaced with the blank document favicon. Is there any way to change it back to the site favicon?
I've read the previous replies and tried them all. I still have no resolution. I do not have the Favicon Picker add-on.
