On Linux, clicking the X in the upper right hand corner of the Firefox display, or entering CTRL-W kills Firefox with no warning. It would be nice if there was an alert that came up asking "Are you sure if you want to kill Firefox?". Or at least add an option for this in Settings.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. If you want to leave feedback for developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

The X and Ctrl+W only closes the one window and not Firefox unless that was the only Firefox window open. To properly close all of Firefox go to hamburger menu and Quit.

You can set it to warn you if you closing a window with multiple tabs and conform if you want to close.

Thanks for the follow-up. I can adjust the settings to get the warning regarding X and CTRL-Q, but not CTRL-W. CTRL-W seems to always kill with no warning. If a tab is open it kills the tab, otherwise it kills Firefox.
