With the recent changes I cannot seem to find a usable solution for exporting and saving stored usernames and passwords. Am I missing something here? I do not wish to use a third-party program (what few are available in Linux), plus I believe most do not extract information from Firefox but rather saves it "new".

Thank you.

There was an add-on that did this, but I don't think it's compatible to v57. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/password-exporter Password Exporter This extension allows you to export your saved passwords and disabled login hosts using XML or CSV files that can be imported later.

I looked at the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) but did not see anything else.

Perhaps a password manager can do this, but I do not know.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
