I have been able to view the newest messages at the top using VIEW options in previous versions of thunderbird. Optlions seems to be gone in the current version. Alas. ncphd

Clicking on any column header sorts on that column. Clicking the same header a second time reverses the sort. A small pointer appears on the sorted column header.

The Menu Bar is hidden in new versions. Alt or F10 reveals hidden Menu Bars just like in all Windows applications. View is also still available in the AppMenu button. 3 horizontal line button.
