Is there any way to reverse a deleted account?

I stupidly deleted my pop3 account while trying to create an IMAP account instead (same email address and provider). all of my email folders are no longer accessible unless they are hiding somewhere I'm not aware of. Any thoughts or ideas? Maybe they are just goners.
