a friend's browser got upgraded to v. 37 yesterday, since then youtube videos do not work. we just see a blank screen, no video, no audio. any ideas on how to fix it?

hello, in case your friend is running a windows N or KN version of windows (without media player built-in), please refer to this article: Fix video and audio problems on Firefox for Windows N editions

You can try to switch to the default Shockwave Flash based player.

I have the same issue, but i found a solution.

If you go into about:config ( type about:config ) into the adress field.

and then search for media.mediasource.enabled which should be set to true in V37.

Set it to false instead, this made my youtube html5 player work again.
