I looked at the online instructions, which apparently don't match my TBird program because an "account settings" option doesn't exist under "tools". I simply want to add a signature to my outgoing emails so I don't have to type on every time. The only options in the "tools" drop down menu are the following:

Address Book / Saved Files / Chat Status / Join Chat (n/a) / Run Junk Mail Controls on Folder / Delete mail marked as junk in Folder / Import... / error console / clear recent history.

Gekose oplossing

You need to use Tools on the Menu Bar. Press the alt key to make that appear. Some programmer decided it would be fun to move the menu choices around under the AppMenu button. I suggest that you turn the old, reliable toolbars on. From the menu bar select View-Toolbars and click them back on.
