my firefox auto updated to a new format, where all the text and bookmarks are forcibly spaced as if I were writing a double spaced essay. This has cut down the maximum number of displayed icons severely in book marks

The autocomplete dropdowns for form fields have recently changed appearance, and I strongly prefer the previous, simple design.

The new version has:

• Clock icons next to autocomplete/history entries
• Much more vertical padding, making the list unnecessarily large
• Rounded "pill-shaped" highlighting when hovering over an entry

The previous autocomplete list was much more compact and clean, without the clock icons, excessive padding or rounded hover backgrounds.

Is there currently a setting, `about:config` preference or other supported way to restore the old autocomplete list appearance?

Ideally, I would like to use the previous style:

• No clock icons
• Compact rows with the previous amount of padding
• No rounded/pill-shaped hover effect
• Otherwise retain the existing autocomplete functionality

If there is no setting to restore the old appearance, could an option be added to allow users to choose between the old and new autocomplete UI?

August 24, 2026 Sometime during the last month website backgrounds changed to black. I can't see well with black. I did not install colorways. I had things setup as I liked then suddenly everything changed. How do I switch to a lighter background? My desktop background is a custom medium green. I tried enabling a light theme - no success. I've already tried the Windows settings for accessability. All help will be appreciated.

When entering the "customize Firefox" page, the option to enable or disable the title bar is missing. From looking at pass guides it used to be on the bottom left of the page but now it's gone. In case it matters, I am not in fullscreen mode.

As of 20 August 2026 Firefox update, my right-click menu is messed up. It USED to be black with white text; now it's unreadable gray with slightly darker gray text. Putting Firefox in "Dark Mode" brings that back, but makes everything ELSE completely unusable. I use the "default" setting under the Appearance Settings, and always have (as in really always, from the day Firefox was first available). I use "Orion Nebula Center" by Lightyear, and have done for years. Disabling it doesn't do anything as far as the right-click window. I've uploaded a screenie of the specific menu, in case my description isn't clear. I did try a Firefox "recommended" add-on called Stylebot, but it appears to work only on a specific element of a specific page, and not globally to correct the issue on any/all windows. How can I get the black background, white text version of the right-click menu back? Thanks!

I noticed that my Tab background color doesn't change after recent Firefox updates.

I have this code (css - chrome) to change the color of the active tab to green and it no longer working.

my tabs bar, containing several hundred tabs, in firefox has suddenly decided to disappear and i can't get it to show. same for the menu toolbar (the one w/ the open, save,...) never really know which toolbar i am looking for. using latest version of ff and windows 11 desktop tried to get info directly from mozilla, but is the only place that probably has the answer.

what ever happened to support for the browser? it was relatively easy to get to the support area but now it mostly shows self-advertising for firefox.

When using Firefox and right-clicking is there a way to change the color and text of the pop up box? I do not want to change the theme I am using. The first picture is if I right click on the main screen of a website and the second is if I right click on the menu bar/toolbar. I simply want to change the color at the least of the first box into the second without going to a full dark theme or having the white backgrounds of web pages having to change to black. Thanks.

Right side bookmark column pops up when Firefox opens. I close it, set setting to horizontal (which is also always present by choice), but the right column return search time I open the browser. I have poor eyesight and need all the screen I can get.

How do I keep it off?

The active tab in iPadOS just shows a slightly lighter white at the top of the tab. It is easy to mix up which tab I’m actively using or wishing to close.

I was wondering if Firefox for iPadOS could include an option to set a custom color for the top of the active tab? I believe this would help in quickly seeing which tab I’m dealing with.
