Garmin Communicator Plugin Problem
This is not fixed: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/971855?esab=a&as=aaq. I reset Firefox 3 times. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Garmin Communicator plugin. It's on my list of Firefox plugins. When I go to upload from my device, Garmin Connect says that the Garmin Communicator plugin is not installed and asks me to download it. I try to download it and Garmin Connect says it's already installed. It is installed and works fine with Explorer and Chrome. Only Firefox says it's not installed. It used to work fine with all the previous versions of Firefox. Does not work now and none of the troubleshooting fixes work. Please advise. Thanks.

To restore your old settings, you can create a new profile with the old files. This thread describes one way to do it: I just reset Firefox, are my add ons in the "old Firefox data" folder and how do I find them?

Could you double-check the status of the Garmin plugin, to make sure it is set to "Ask to Activate" or "Always Activate" (and not disabled by being set to "Never Activate").
Open the Add-ons page using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Look for the Garmin plug and if it is set to "Never Activate", change it to "Always Activate" or "Ask to Activate" (as you prefer).
Note: When you use Ask to Activate (Click to Play), you should see a notification icon in the address bar and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.
(I'm going to install this software to see whether I notice anything unusual about it.)
It is set to "Always Activate". Please note, Garmin Connect recognizes the Garmin Communicator plugin and my attached Garmin device on Chrome and Explorer.

Could you try the plugin detection on this page: http://software.garmin.com/en-US/gcp.html
If it doesn't work right away, please do a full reload to bypass cached files, by pressing Ctrl+Shift+r.
The reason for doing that is, the script that detects whether you have the Garmin plugin appears to have just been updated on March 17th and Firefox might be holding on to an old cached version if not forced to do a full reload.
Background: Due to a change in Firefox 29 to enhance user privacy, some old methods of detecting plugins no longer work. Sites hopefully will be updating to address this.

Hi jmlanin, thanks for the screen shot. I can't access that page without creating an account. Does a full reload on that page (Ctrl+Shift+r) make any difference?
The Ctrl+Shift+r didn't change anything.
By the way, when I reset Firefox yesterday, it saved things to a folder on my desktop. How do I restore all those things now?

It's working now. I didn't do anything. Must have been fixed by Mozilla. Thanks.
