I've updated to the current version of Java version 7 Update 10 (1.7.0_10-b18) and Firefox stills says to upgrade to the current version of Java.

Have you restarted Firefox?

Check Addons > Plugins to see if both Java 7 U 7 plugins appear there, and if they are enabled.
