When I click on a link to download something, the following message appears "Internet Download Manager has been registered with a fake serial number or the serial number has been blocked. IDM is exiting... Only started having the problem recently. Went to add-ons and disabled IDM. Everything was then working OK for the last couple of weeks, then it started up again this morning. Appreciate your help

You have to use some kind of registration key for IDM this is problem of IDM not Firefox

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
