can't get former search terms to not show when typing a new search word

when beginning to type in a search word or phrase in the search window I have former search words and phrases show below the window I want to know how to adjust my settings to stop this from occurring.

And use the Clear Search History menu item thru the Search bar drop-down to clear your own Search History.

If you don't want your Search History save at all, you can turn it off in the Privacy tab in Options - but that is both Form and Search History together.
