Make Firefox multi-screen compatible for foldable phones.

I want to use Firefox on my foldable phone alongside several other apps. However, Firefox won't stay open in split-screen view; it only runs in full-screen mode and closes all other apps. That’s a real shame. If Firefox can't be adapted to work this way, I'll have to use a different browser.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee jumps into a discussion, you'll see the Mozilla Staff label next to their name.

If you wish, you can leave feedback for developers on the Mozilla Connect website. Click the Firefox Menu Fx89menuButton button in the toolbar, click Help and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

See support.mozilla.org/questions/1387868 for previous feature request — it's tracked as bugzilla.mozilla.org/1807064

To upvote the feature feel free to participate in this thread: connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/split-screen-for-android/idi-p/12332

Actually, what you're describing should be possible — running side by side with any other app is expected to work. Could you please file a bug with specifics about your device, OS, versions etc. to get it verified further? Thanks!
