My daughter's email somehow ended up in my junk folder and I have not been able to keep it out.
I have marked it as Not Junk multiple times, reset my settings to NOT use adaptive Junk, added my address books to the exception list, removed junk history, and none of it has worked. Help!

The server may be filtering your daughter's messages. Close Thunderbird, have your daughter send you a message, and sign in to webmail at your service provider to see where the message goes.

Thanks -- Comcast moved it's email back end to Yahoo, and I haven't figured out all of Yahoo mail's options. There aren't many re spam, so hopefully just marking NotSpam will work going forward.
Marking not spam in Thunderbird will not affect what the server does.
I wasn't clear -- I will go to Yahoo mail directly and mark it NotSpam there --
Very good!
