Firefox will not open, it is asking me to sign in and create a profile

I used Firefox this morning and it worked normal. This evening however it will not open as normal. It appears to want me to create a new profile. It does not have a toolbar or any of my bookmarks What do I need to do to restore

It sounds like you did create a new profile and Firefox now opens without your old profile data, since you said, It does not have a toolbar or any of my bookmarks....

Is that correct? If so, try the suggestions in this article: Recover user data missing after Firefox update or reinstall

Also, if you need more help please also tell us what operating system you are using on your desktop computer (Windows?
