How to restore a Backup File made on Windows 10 on Linux Fedora
Hello,
I just moved from Windows 10 to Linux Fedora Workstation and I used the "Back up and restore" option in the Sync Tab available in Firefox on Windows 10 to save my data in the form of a unique html file. (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-backup)
But now that I'm in Firefox on Fedora, this option does not seem to be available (in the Sync tab in Settings). Is there any way I could at least recover my bookmarks ?
I'm using Firefox 147.0.1 from the official Federa repo.
Thank you for your help.

Hi,
Firefox Backup is only available on Windows, which is stated on the article.
If the backup file is everything you have, I guess you have the following options:
- Recover from the backup on a Windows (10/11) machine and then use a different way to transfer your data.
- Get some info from the file manually (which may not be a very pleasant process). Unfortunately, I'm not sure someone will be able to assist with it here, but you can ask on Matrix.
- Find a third-party extension/app that will pull info for you.
