Is my version 140.3.1esr a security risk? should i uninstall immediately or not use until there is an update?
Any help would be appreciated,
i was about to add another account to TB and checked for cves first and saw this: CVE-2025-11715
Ubunut 22.04 is affected by it but there is no way to update my installed version to a stable release in the ubuntu software centre. I dont have the technical ability to know how to install directly from the website. I have high anxiety about adding an account after reading the CVE. Is it possible to know if people unable to update have been affected by the CVE and what to do if upgrades are not possible?
Thanks

I don't know much about security risks and CVEs in Thunderbird. In ten months of following Thunderbird and this support forum very closely, I do not recall learning about any security risk that caused me concern.
People here could help you install Thunderbird from the website. But if knowledge of Ubuntu is required to replace the version of Thunderbird on your computer, there may not be many people who can help with that.
