I read a SmartBlock explanation, but it was quite unclear. Seems to be tying SmartBlock to Facebook. I do not use Facebook. Why is logging in with Facebook required for SmartBlock to work on sites that are unrelated to Facebook? Very unclear.

Hello,

SmartBlock is not connected to Facebook, and logging in with Facebook is not required. Logging in with Facebook in Private Browsing mode is mentioned in the article just as a feature provided by SmartBlock (it blocks all unrelated scripts while letting you to log in), along with its main purpose – fixing web pages that would be otherwise broken by tracking protections.
